In an attempt to change the perception, she appeared partially clothed in the cover photo in Gear magazine. The Jessica's fans were furious at this behavior. In the 6th season on 7th Heaven, Jessica left. Her stellar performance in the character of teenage Casey Jackson in the film Ulee's Gold brought her instant recognition. In fact, she was awarded the award for Best Supporting Young Actress for the movie. This comedy movie Summer Catch bears the proof of her incredible acting abilities. Even with her amazing performance Rules of Attraction was not a big hit. Later her acting in the movie The Texas Chainshaw Massacre caught the attention of the public. Her work in suspense film has proven her serious actors.
